		<description>the visual is exactly what i like about personal brain.  they do have a cloud version but i haven&#039;t checked into how they sync.   they have lots of videos on the site to show uses so have a look at them.

		<description>i use evernote.  it is cross platform, can be accessed from your phone but synchronizes across all the different systems, so you have multiple local copies, plus one in the evernote &quot;cloud&quot;.  it lets you add tags, group things into notebooks and handles stuff like pdfs and pictures.

the one thing i feel it lacks is a way to visually play with ideas - to work with them on a canvas, to move them around.  sort of like whiteboarding.  i used to be able to do that with tinderbox - but that is strictly mac only (despite promises for years of a windows version).  plus tinderbox is pre cloud, so it doesn&#039;t synchronize.  i use prezi for my visual thinking now, which doesn&#039;t integrate at all with evernote or anything else, really.</description>
