i have always said that london never felt as multicultural as nyc and now i have proof! 
city of sound reports on an article about cosmopolitan cities that was originally in the economist (the article is actually about canadian multiculturalism).
according to the data they use, nyc has 9.31% of its population foreign born. london is 7.17% and melbourne is 3.37%. interesting sydney isnt even in the list. so there we go. i was right.
