because it’s global orgasm day.
not a bad idea but why now you ask. why have a day at all? so according to their site:
The mission of the Global Orgasm is to effect change in the energy field of the Earth through input of the largest possible surge of human energy. Now that there are two more US fleets heading for the Persian Gulf with anti- submarine equipment that can only be for use against Iran, the time to change Earth’s energy is NOW! Read more about the fleet buildup here.
The intent is that the participants concentrate any thoughts during and after orgasm on peace. The combination of high- energy orgasmic energy combined with mindful intention may have a much greater effect than previous mass meditations and prayers.
to change the globe’s energy field. how great!
speaking of energy – the boy & i went to see a movie yesterday: who killed the electric car?. it’s actually more tv documentary than a movie but it was showing at the theatre here (more details on the film). it’s about the electic cars that were introduced in the late ’90s, why so few existed and why they disappeard so quickly. interesting but there was no hard hitting, or even deep digging journalism in the film. some interesting interviews & sound bites but i felt it didn’t go deep at all. was disappointing in that way. if it’s on tv or you can rent it and you’re interested in cars or the politics or the environment, i recommend it.
i have to say absolute FAV quote in the film came right at the end when they were interviewing some guy. i cant’ remember who he was or what the exact quote was but it was something to the effect of (and he was saying this very seriously):
every time the government tells us we need to be economical with our energy, to us it means things like drive a small cramped car or turn our heat down & be cold all the time & end up living like europeans.
i thought it was v funny (as did boy) but i dont think the other 3 people in the theatre laughed.
