A boarding pass to Sydney should come with a warning label (YES I AGREE WITH THAT): Beware, this city will have you questioning the quality of life in your hometown.(I QUESTION WHY I LEFT MY HOMETOWN EVERY DAY.) Sydney has managed to skim the best parts of other cities and swirl them into a perfect blend of urban bliss (FOR THOSE EARNING OVER $500k PER YEAR - THE REST NEED NOT APPLY). At any given time, visitors can enjoy the sun-soaked laid-back vibe of Los Angeles (IT RAINS MORE IN SYDNEY THAN IN MELOBURNE), the cleanliness and efficiency of Geneva (WHY CAN I ALWAYS SMELL PEE?), the energizing hustle and bustle of New York City (IF YOU COUNT THE BUSINESSMEN IN FLASHY SUITS WITH PINK SHIRTS) and the Old World charms of London (PLEASE SKIM THE LATEST COMMENTS BY FORMER PRIME MINISTER PAUL KEATING ON HOW SYDNEY IS AN URBEN NIGHMARE OF EGG-CRATE APARTMENT BUILDINGS). Pair all of that with a unique brand of casual Aussie warmth (READ-BOGAN) and you’ve got more than enough to justify the otherwise prohibitively long flight to get there (SURE YOU DO.)
