qantas doesn’t quite match the united price but this one is better for dates.

book by may 31 but you can travel thru mid july. the cheapest is U$798 in august (lax-syd) but other dates are pretty good.

and from la, you can do a stop over somewhere. say… melbourne…

holy crap. U$670 from SF or LAX. from the east coast U$870.

that goes into sydney but for an extra U$50 you can fly direct to melbourne.

i swear this is the cheapest ive seen & i’ve been watching usa/aus airfares for prob close to 4 years now.

you do have to buy before may 31 and you have to travel before may 31. you can stay for up to 30 days.

which is great b/c i can’t really do shit til june 17th. and the evening of june 17th will be full of drinking. and then immediately after june 17 i have 2 weeks that i want to get out & do something. so i’d be up for a small travel thing…

so fucking book now. ok???

missle 1 – focus on cream

yes… short missives will be the norm for here. although i typed missle in the subject line. same difference.

i have just finished the last of the mushie rositto (sp on rositto but not mushie. i mite do some aussie in my missive/missles) and ate a bunch of hazelnut chocolate vanilla ice cream. i actually feel a sugar rush.

how cool is this IM thing. haven’t installed but looks nifty. will do at some time. how long til chatango spam? is this new or am i really behind? much of the time i feel like i’m out of touch in the cool net things & i don’t know if it’s cause i’m not working or if it’s cause i’m on the other side of the world. cause i am. i am 10,360 miles/ 16,710 km away (from nyc that is)! wow.

i should be doing something thesis like but not concentrating. and finding it sort of hard to focus on the computer screen. like my poor eyes are tired.

i went past the whole foods place today. they now have a large sign up over the door that sez ‘macro’ (in big letters) and under in small letters (whole foods market). i can’t find anything on the web site about opening in australia. if this is some shitty company that’s getting my hopes up, i am going to be sooooooo pissed off.

this was easy. quick. here’s my chatango thing (look below). so IM me & check it out. but don’t be disappointed when i say i cant chat. one more month. 28 days actually i think. oh, and DEFINITELY IM me if you work in a virtual team & want to be part of my research. it’s all confidential so don’t worry about anyone being able to pick you out. there’s a questionnaire & i need to get some background info plus a few other questions. but IM and i’ll tell u about it.

after work last nite i walked to the crappy coles on bridge road (that’s a grocery store). on the way i walked past an empty shop with signage on the window. signage that looked familiar. i did a double take & it said something like ‘australia’s largest organic market’. then i realised the font is whole foods font. in smaller print it did say whole foods but they were calling it ‘macro’.

YES A WHOLE FOODS IS OPENING IN MELBOURNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
